Todd Harry Kalas (born December 31, 1965) is an American sportscaster, employed since 2017 as a tv play-by-play announcer for Houston Astros baseball. He is the oldest son of the late longtime Philadelphia Phillies Hall of Fame and Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame broadcaster Harry Kalas. Kalas married Michele Allen on Turks and Caicos on November 15, 2017. They reside in Houston..
After his father Harry’s loss of life on April 13, 2009, Todd, alongside together with his youthful brothers Brad and Kane, threw out the primary pitch on the first house recreation in Philadelphia 4 days later. Todd’s ball was thrown to former Phillies third baseman Mike Schmidt, who, like Todd’s father, can also be within the Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame.
On September 29, 2019, it was introduced by the Astros that they’d prolonged Kalas’ contract by the top of the 2021 season, together with that of his TV-broadcasting sidekick, colour-man Geoff Blum.
