Career
Surya worked in a garment export factory for eight months. He started his career as an actor with the movie Nerukku Ner. His first commercially successful movie is the thriller ‘Kaakha Kaakha’. Released in 2003. He played roles in the films “Perazhagan”, “Ghajini”, “Vel”, “Ayan”. His performance was hailed as the “movie backbone” of the movie “Singam”.
He was chosen to represent TVS Motors, Sunfeast Biscuits, and Aircel in 2006. He has also worked on a short film on AIDS awareness.

Award
