Biography
Steven Michael Henson (born February 2, 1968) is a retired American skilled basketball participant, who was chosen by the Milwaukee Bucks within the 2nd spherical (forty fourth total) of the 1990 NBA draft. He was an assistant basketball coach on the University of Oklahoma below his former faculty coach Lon Kruger. On April 1, 2016, Henson was employed as the pinnacle coach on the University of Texas at San Antonio and assumed his new place after the Sooners’ exit from the NCAA Tournament the next day.
Since retiring from taking part in basketball, Henson has turned to teaching. He has been an assistant at Illinois, with the Atlanta Hawks, at South Florida, at UNLV and at Oklahoma. After a profitable 2015–16 season with the Oklahoma Sooners to the 2016 Final Four in Houston, Coach Steve Henson was introduced to succeed Brooks Thompson as the brand new Head Coach for UTSA.
