United States service provider mariner who was captain of the MV Maersk Alabama when it was hijacked by Somali pirates in 2009. He wrote the guide known as A Captain’s Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALS, and Dangerous Days at Sea about his expertise. Richard Phillips (born 1962) is an American artist. He was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and lives in New York City. In the Nineteen Nineties he labored on the Guggenheim Museum as an artwork handler. The set up was later moved. Phillips’s first exhibition in a museum was at Dallas Contemporary in 2014.
