In May 2019, it was introduced Mescal would star in the principle function as Connell alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones in upcoming Hulu and BBC Three collection Normal People, an adaptation of the novel by Sally Rooney. He can also be set to play Matt in comedy collection Bump.
