Park Shin-hye was born in Gwangju but grew up in Songpa District, Seoul. She made her debut in Lee Seung-hwan’s “Flower” music video. She later underwent formal training in singing, dancing, and acting.

She was educated at Chung-Ang University in 2009 and graduated on February 15, 2016, with a degree in Theater.
Career
In 2006, she starred in the South Korean-Japanese series Paradise Tree and then gained further recognition for her leading roles in TV dramas You’re Beautiful, The Heirs, Pinocchio, and Doctor Crush. In 2010, Park ranked 8th on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list, 33rd in 2015, and 12th in 2017.
Park’s breakthrough role came when she played the younger version of Choi Ji-woo in the popular K-drama Stairway to Heaven. Park made her film appearance in Evil Twin, a summer horror film in which she portrayed two roles: one as the main character, and the other as the ghost of the main character’s sister, who haunts the other sister after her death. She then appeared in Goong S, a spin-off of Princess Watches.
