Early life

Lisa Olivia Moon was born on July 3, 1980, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to an American father and Vietnamese mother of Chinese descent. When she was two years old, her mother, Kim, married a U.S. Air Force officer who moved to Tokyo, Japan with the family.

Those formative years were not easy for Moon, who had a bad relationship with her stepfather and felt at her spot in her new surroundings. But she found comfort in watching videos from popular American shows and movies and enjoyed some success in the Tokyo fashion industry with her bizarre look.

Family

Her father is Winston Barrett Moon, an American of English, Irish and German descent. Her mother, Kimberly Schmid, was born and raised in Vietnam, and she is of Chinese origin. Her mother was a Vietnamese refugee. She fled to Oklahoma in 1975 after the Vietnam War.

Education

Munn attended the University of Oklahoma, majoring in journalism and exploration in Japanese drama. In 2011, Munn teamed up with your green school challenge at Dosomething.org. She was a spokesperson for the campaign by filming a PSA movie regarding the challenge and sat on the jury that evaluated the entries.

Moon began her career in television journalism before becoming an actress. In 2006, Munn played in Mily Acuna in the series Beyond the Break. I co-hosted the attack program! From 2006 to 2010 he was a reporter for The Daily Show from 2010 to 2011.
