Her father Anil Roy is an office supervisor and her mother Mukti Roy is a high school teacher. She has a brother named Mukhor Roy. Munni got the passion for acting from her paternal grandfather, Shekhar Chandra Roy, who was a famous theater artist.
Education
Mouni Roy completed her education at Miranda House and the University of Delhi. Later on, she did more of her studies in the field of mass communication at Melia Islamic University in New Delhi. In her college days, she continued her practice as a choreographer.
Career
Besides these, she was a good dancer and kathak. Mooney has also joined some Western dance classes to build her portfolio and boost her talent.
