Early life
Wahlberg was the youngest son of nine children in a working-class poor family who lived in the Dorchester area of Boston. His parents divorced when he was a child, and he left high school at the age of 14. Wilberg lived a tumultuous life, being involved in the robbery, drug trafficking, drug abuse, and violence. At the age of 16, he was convicted of assault and sentenced to imprisonment; It ultimately served 45 days.
Upon his release, his older brother Donnie, who was then a member of the hit band New Kids on the Block, helped him start his music career. In 1990, Mark styled himself as Marky Mark and posed as Marcy Mark and Funky Bunch.
