Leon Das was born on the 13th of October 1994 in Rangpur, Dinajpur. His full name is Leighton Kumar Das.

Liton was a student of Bangladesh Krira Sikkha Protisthan (BKSP).
Career
Liton was addicted to cricket with inspiration from his older brother Babi. But for the great contribution of his first coach, Abu Samad Mittu, Leighton could make himself a cricketer. Abu Samad Mitu is the coach of a local club called “Proshista Cricket Club”.
Liton made his first-class debut with Rangpur Division against Dhaka Division in 2011. He has already scored nearly 7,000 first-class passes. Liton das made his ODI debut against India in Dhaka on June 18, 2015.
He made his T20I debut against South Africa in Dhaka, 5 July 2015, and made his first Twenty20 match with Dhaka Gladiators against Barisal Burners in Dhaka on 12 February 2013.
