Born on December 23, 1985, in East Harlin, the United States eventually moved to Puerto Rico in 2002. Austin was the eldest brother of three children in their family. His father’s name was Augustin Santos. His mother’s name was Carmen Rosas. She was a former member of the all-women merengue group- Las Chiquas del Can, famous in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
He spends his childhood listening to different types of music and was influenced by rock music and loved to listen to them, especially Rubi Draco Roza, a Puerto Rican rock artist from Puerto Rico and a former member of Menudo.
During the early first decade of the 20th century, Arcángel’s interests changed and he liked new music. By listening to artists such as Tego Calderón and Tempo, he inspired him to continue singing and music in Puerto Rico.
