Early Life
He came from the former Royal Nawanagar family. Studied at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi. He is the son of Daulat Singh Jadeja and Gayanpa Jadeja. Ajay was born on the 1st of February, 1971 in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Cricket Career
Ajay Jadeja has been a regular player in the Indian cricket team. He played 15 test matches and 196 one-day caps. He was considered one of the best Indian team players of his era.
Best Performance
One of his most memorable roles was his appearance in the quarter-finals of the 1996 Cricket World Cup in Bengaluru against arch-rivals Pakistan when he hit 45 from 25 balls, including 40 from Waqar Yunus’ last two matches.
Another memorable occasion in his career was taking 3 wickets for 3 runs in 1 against England in Sharjah to win the India match. Jadeja led India in 13 one-day matches.
Fixing Scandal
However, through all of this, there was an irreparable strain. He never passed the tests. Contained in a CBI report on match-fixing, he was banned for five years in 2000 effectively ending his international career.

Achievement
He had a lot of success for Delhi until 2004, and as captain/coach of Rajasthan from 2005 to 2007. Ajay had an impressive streak of 131 in the Iranian Cup, 256 against services, 228 against Punjab, and 199 against Himachal Pradesh. . He also scored 254 goals in a winning tour match in South Africa in 1992-93 against Combined Bowl XI.
